The James Gang, a 501(c)(3) organization founded in 2017, is dedicated to creating meaningful opportunities for inclusion for adults with intellectual disabilities.

The organization is named in honor of James Anderson, who lives with NARS1 gene disorder and is an active member of the intellectually disabled community. Through participation in road races, cycling events, and other athletic activities, we promote inclusion and raise awareness.

The James Gang also provides grants to local recreation departments and adult day programs, fostering connection and friendship through a shared love of sports. Additionally, we support research toward a cure for NARS1 gene disorder through The Rory Belle Foundation.

The James Gang has proudly been an official Boston Marathon charity for the past two years. Stay tuned—information about our 2026 Boston Marathon team will be available beginning September 29th.
