First-time Boston runner
Brittany has never run a marathon before, but she has completed the 26.2-mile Tough Ruck multiple times — a B.A.A. event held the day before the Boston Marathon in support of veterans and service members. Each time, she carried a 45-lb pack as part of the ruck tradition.
A lifelong Bostonian, running the Boston Marathon has been a dream for as long as she can remember. She has spent years along the course as a spectator and as a Military Police Officer — and this April will be her first time on the other side of the fence.
What means the most to her is running for a cause close to her heart. James is not only a teammate but a friend, and she shares that any day spent with him is sure to be a great one!

20th Marathon • 7th Boston
This year will mark David’s 20th marathon and 7th Boston. His very first marathon — and first Boston — was back in 1999. He has decided that this will be his last marathon, and there is no better way to finish than with the same race where it all began.
To David, Boston is the most prestigious race in the world. The course, the crowds, and the running field all make the winter months of training worth it.
Raising funds for an organization that he knows well — and has seen firsthand the benefits of — makes this final Boston especially meaningful.

First Boston
Mike is taking on his first Boston Marathon and his second marathon overall, after completing the Baystate Marathon in 2024.
He is incredibly excited and honored to be running as part of Team James Gang, and is especially looking forward to the energy of the Boston crowds cheering on the runners from start to finish.

Fourth Marathon • First In-Person Boston
This will be Rose’s fourth marathon, but her first time running the Boston Marathon in person. In 2021, she ran Boston virtually — an opportunity she cherished at the time, not knowing if she would ever have the chance to run the actual course.
Outside of running, Rose volunteers with a local Special Olympics ski team, helping athletes with intellectual disabilities be part of a team, build confidence, and form lasting friendships. That experience is what makes her especially excited to be running on behalf of The James Gang next April.
She is looking forward not only to race day, but also to raising awareness for The James Gang’s work in creating opportunities for inclusion for adults with intellectual disabilities.

Third Marathon Together • Second Boston Together
James’ Third Consecutive Boston
James and I are running our third marathon together and our second Boston Marathon together. For James, this will be his third Boston Marathon in a row.
Boston represents one community to me: The James Gang — a group of friends and family coming together to give James the same support that he gives to all of us.
